What areas of industry can one work in, with such a degree?

You can work in a variety of different fields. From a governmental perspective you can work with your Federal Export Credit Agency (ECA), or your respective department of Foreign Affairs. You can use that degree to branch into international marketing or international consulting. You can also go the route of logistics and become a freight forwader.

You can use your skill in International Trade Finance to work at the Trade Finance desk of a bank. You can also look to working with various NGO’s like the UN, IMF, WTO, etc.

You can work with various MDB (multi-lateral development banks, like the Worldbank, Inter-American Development Bank ) or you can work for private institutions that are bidding on contracts from MDB’s or NGO’s.

I am currently enrolled in my community college and graduated high school with a 3.7 GPA and in the National Honor Society. I have a 4.0 GPA in college and I am going to be licsensed as a massage therapist in October. I am going to sign up for the Alpha Phi Theta honor society for 2 year colleges in the fall.

I am looking to attend: Pepperdine University (CA), Stanford (CA), or UCLA. I am a business administration major working on my honors associates (which I will complete this upcoming spring). I am looking at becoming a Finance or Market BA major, and then going to grad school.

Now that you have some background, where do you suggest I find scholarships. I am currently exploiting: Fastweb.com, my current college, and looking for scholarship offerings from the schools of my choice.

Any suggestions?

scholarship.com. also has some. you can try collegeboard.com and click on finical aid.

Hi folks,
A little bit about me: 22, female college grad enrolled in grad school. Just started my first job this week. I work in grocery retail, make minimum wage, $8/hr, commute 20 miles, work 30-32 hours a week.

This is the only job I could find in this economy and already I hate it. Overworked, underpaid, ya know. 0 work-life balance since my hours are random. shifts are 8 1/2 hours and i take no breaks until the last half hour. I’m tired and extremely sore after only 2 days. Please don’t tell me about the real world and sacrifice and necessary suffering…I’ve done plenty of that and could tell you stories. (Besides, lawyers and legal assistants and other "professional" jobs dont swing those hours and this kind of labor.)

I want to quit and focus on my studies, but the economy has me so worried! Should I quit and not care and just wait out an impending crash? (I dont really need the money yet since I still live at home). Or should I stay with the job? Would a job in a supermarket be not-so-bad during an economic collapse since everyone will always need groceries? Please give me some advice. Thanks.

I worked food retail for (17) years and HATED every minute of it so I can relate with you. Jobs are hard to come by right now but not impossible. It may take you a few months to find another job but if you don’t need the money and you are very unhappy then you may want to take the time off and look for another job. Being unhappy may effect your studies so that is another thing to keep in mind.
Grocery stores usually cut your hours as the economy slips and people have less money to buy goods with so the sales dip. Maybe you should figure out what kind of work you want to do and see if there are any jobs openings in your area,

Good Luck

I took 2 courses as a non matriculating psych grad student in one school last fall and am now enrolled in a psych grad program in another school. I want to update my resume, but I’m not sure how to list all that.

Can anyone give me an example? Thanks.
Wow sugarbabes…that was a completely t useless answer. Yahoo should forbid people like you from answering questions just to get points.

List the school you’ll receive the degree from first with date of expected graduation and underneath list the school you took the non matric classes at.
