I watch 3 boys ages 1, 2, and 4 1/2. I have to take out my own taxes. They pay me 13 an hour, but it is really 10 an hour. I also clean constantly and am on the go a lot. I work 60 hour weeks. I have experience and a degree. I am enrolled in grad school as well.

I would say that you should be making more than $10/hr if you have a degree and experience.
I was paid $500 - $600/wk for 45 hours and 2 kids, with no degree and no experience in a lower income area.

I’m in a very affordable area. Daycare runs 100/week here. Nannies run 400-500/week here. Live in or Live out. (Live in usually will go cheaper if you have a nice place to offer).

It’s hard to say because the type of job you have is something someone without a degree (or green card!) can do. Unfortunately, the pay isn’t terrible for this type of job, but because you seem responsible and extremely knowledgeable, it’s going to be tough to come by someone like you!

Therefore, you may want to ask them to start increasing your pay, or perhaps start paying you in part cash.

check out the local day cares and set your price directly below that and make sure that you charge a bit extra for the cleaning, try to make sure they are going to get a better price using you instead of a day care though

If I ever had to leave my children with someone I would probably pay $20 or $25 per hour for each child. But if she also cleans the place I would probably pay a bit more. If she helps my children with homework I would pay her $20 per hour that she teaches. So if she teaches for 4 hours she will make $160-$180. But I usually don’t need a babysitter I leave them with my older son.
